Dustin Coyle, MD
Hi! I'm Dr. Dustin Coyle. I'm an anesthesiologist who has 18 years of experience providing anesthesia.
I graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2001, did an internship in Pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and went on to graduate from residency in Anesthesiology, from the University of Utah, in 2005. Since then, I have spent 2 years in private practice, and 13 years in academic practice.
I recently moved from Salt Lake City to San Diego with my wife, our two dogs, cat, and two horses. Outside of medicine, I enjoy riding my motorcycle, off-roading in my Jeep, playing guitar, and pretty much anything active outside in the sun.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
As an anesthesia provider with over 17 years of experience, I am excited to use my anesthesia
skills to promote a greater quality of life where other conventional medicine has not worked.
My undergraduate education was completed at the University of Toledo followed by eight years of ICU experience. That was followed with graduate education at Old Dominion University with a nurse anesthesia residency that included Baltimore Shock Trauma and multiple military health care facilities. I have worked in private practice and academia promoting anesthesia excellence throughout. This included 10 years at the Veterans Administration San Diego where it is common to care for surgical patients with a long history of PTSD, depression, and chronic pain.
My wife and I have lived in the North County San Diego area since 2008 with our Welsh Terrier.
When you don’t find me at a clinic or hospital setting, you’re likely to find me on a mountain
bike or walking the dog.
